This program is intended primarily for young women who critically think on reality, take a clear stand in defense of their rights, are not afraid of confrontation and struggle against various forms of injustice, who will turn the anger into creative actions, and who are not obedient and want to change what is “pinching” them.
We are witnessing a critical moment of increased partocracy, religious fundamentalism, recruitment of young people into right-wing organizations which advocate and demonstrate high level of discrimination and violence against DIFFERENT. In context like this, young women are very often exposed to multiply discrimination – being women, being young and even more complicated, being of different ethnicity, nationality, class, sexual orientation, ability…
Reconstruction Women’s Fund sees young women as the leaders and actors of social changes.
Program MIRROR wants to motivate and support organized young women, from 16 to 30 years of age, all around Serbia, to actively participate in making decisions that impact their lives. Program is imagined to provide available, flexible, strategic support to nonprofit non-governmental organizations, associations and non-registered groups led by young women, to initiatives and wide spectrum of activities oriented to their real needs, interests and priorities, with the goal of social changes either in the surroundings where young women are living, learning and working, either wider.
