The piece tells about members of the pacifist organization \u2018White Rose\u2019 who perished in WW2 and about their uncompromising struggle for peace through writing and words, by propagating love, equality, (civic) consciousness, against arms, violence, cruelty, the will for destruction and separation (discrimination) of people who are \u2018different\u2019, sending word to the contemporary audience that it is a must to keep the legacy of \u2018White Rose\u2019. It doesn\u2019t speak about WW2 only, but also about current wars in Asia and Africa and the problems the refugees face from non-acceptance in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>DAH Theater, Belgrade<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RSD:\u00a0<strong>278.000,00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Project title<strong>: Festival and conference Existence\/Becoming <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About the project: \u201cIn this moment it seems that a new war against women is going globally, even more reflected on poor \u2018societies in transition\u2019 like ours. There is abundance of evidence and it is undisputable that more than ever it is necessary that women are connected through networks, in this region and wider. It is vital to transfer the concrete praxis, experience and knowledge from the sphere of our work, both to younger generations of women who begin their work and to create situations as well where women who have been already active for a longer time in their fields could share their experiences and insights for mutual empowerment, to enable continuity in the work of women, in our case in the area of theatre, dance and performance. Persistence and continuity of work of art groups and collectives, especially those founded by women are insufficiently visible and supported; actually within these collectives the most engaged art has been created here and globally. Our and other contexts where women create and live have been filled again with xenophobia and nationalism, and with political intimidation by various types of pressure \u2013 it is necessary to build connections of artists, activists and theorists in the field of performative arts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Informal group of artists and activists from Novi Sad <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RSD:\u00a0<strong>200.000,00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Project title<strong>:\u00a0\u201cEx-hale ex-ile\u201d <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About the project: \u00a0\u201cProduction and organization of art cultural events (exhibitions, performances, workshops and films screenings) concerned with various forms of repression, marginalization and aggression towards women migrants. The events will make more visible specific situations of insistent single-mindedness, demonization, silencing and manipulation with the women, which have been experienced by the participants themselves or through the meetings with women migrants. The project and its activities are very important for Novi Sad due to the social and political situation \u2013 in which the long standing cultural politics constantly ignore serious themes and engaged female artists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Informal\u00a0group within Mafin Production, Novi Sad<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RSD:\u00a0<strong>300.000,00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Project title<strong>:\u00a0Documentary film \u2013 \u201cWomen\u2019s Court \u2013 Feminist Approach to Justice\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About the project: \u201cIn Sarajevo 7-10 May, 2015 occurred the first Women\u2019s Court on the territory of Europe, in organization of 10 women\u2019s groups from the region of former Yugoslavia. In the Women\u2019s Court 36 women witnesses from all countries of former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia) testified in five sessions about all kind of violence, injustice, crimes, both in the war and postwar periods. This was the outcome, but not the end of a long process, being a stimulus for creation of new models of justice from feminist perspective. First, this is the obligation towards the witnesses and also an expression of our responsibility for the huge burden of resent past. A decision was made to produce this documentary film to record permanently testimonies of women about the crimes and violence against women in successor states of SFRY from 1991 to the moment of Women\u2019s Court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Free Zone, Belgrade<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RSD:\u00a0<strong>200.000,00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Title of the project<strong>:\u00a012<sup>th<\/sup> Film Festival Free Zone<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About the project: \u201cAim of the festival Free Zone has been creation of space for reflection and understanding of burning social questions and problems through popularizing engaged cinematography which is not part of the regular cinema repertoire in Serbia, also a stimulus to the audience to think about human rights, especially the rights of the marginalized groups. Free Zone wants to inspire the society for more sensibility in these questions in the context of growing nationalism and nationalistic ideologies. Free Zone invites the audience to perceive the problems and state of human rights in the intersection of various global and local social, economic and political contexts, would they reconsider and\/or problematize their own understanding of social problems in Serbia and wider.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Workers\u2019 commune LINKS, Belgrade<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RSD:\u00a0<strong>180.000,00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Project title<strong>:\u00a0<\/strong>Cycle of lectures <em>On oblivion and the unremembered <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About the project: \u201cSerbia is a country characterized with long tradition of culture of oblivion. The phenomenon of oblivion in Serbia is more than obvious in oral as well in written tradition. Epic heroes characters were very often created by mythological layers over historical facts and often the layout of very fundaments of historic events have been so established in the national memory that generations of historians later did not succeed to establish critical views on characters and historical events. Similar is the treatment of the neighbors, first of all Albanians, Bosniaks, Bulgarians, Croats about whom the historical memory, extrapolated through educational system, distributed mostly negative stereotypes which subsequently entered colloquial language. Each discussion and dispute on oblivion is precious in the now days situation in Serbia, to encourage thinking and to impact indirectly the social changes. The themes of this cycle address: the historically unremembered; marginalization of socially neglected; oblivion of the carriers of political ideas; emotional oblivion of the neighbors; oblivion of those who are coming; violence and oblivion; economy of oblivion; self-oblivion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Independent group of feminist and lesbian activists <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RSD:\u00a0<strong>48.000,00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Name of the project<strong>:\u00a0Womyn\u2019s gathering 2016<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About the project: \u201cThe event Womyn\u2019s gathering 2016 is a gathering of feminists from Europe and wider who will organize serial of discussions and workshops on various topics; the key one for us is on the third day \u2013 antiracism from feminist perspective, as the unique opportunity to share experiences and strategies for combating the growing nationalism, racism and militarism in our country and wide Europe, connected to migrations of refugees from Middle East and other parts of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Association \u201cNetwork for European Women\u2019s Lobby\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RSD:\u00a0<strong>150.000,00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Project title<strong>:\u00a0 Bulletin of the Network for EWL<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About the project: \u201cThe Bulletin often presents articles concerning European politics on multiply marginalized women, women refugees and IDPs from war areas and in general promotes peace initiatives in the EU. Further, in cooperation with European Women\u2019s Lobby the organizations- members of the local network advocate for better position of women refugees in EU countries.
