{"id":978,"date":"2015-02-04T15:05:44","date_gmt":"2015-02-04T13:05:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rwfund.org\/eng\/?page_id=978"},"modified":"2021-06-09T17:22:38","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T15:22:38","slug":"march-8-call-2011","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rwfund.org\/eng\/programs-old\/2011-2\/march-8-call-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"March 8 Call 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The following actions and groups were supported as the result of this Call:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><b>Sandglass, Krusevac<\/b>&#8211; street action called \u201cDon\u2019t Stir Up (violence, discrimination, racism, social injustice\u2026)\u201d , amount: 60.000 RSD<\/li><li><b>Roma Strength, Ilandza<\/b>&#8211; public discussion about importance of education and additional education for Roma women, amount: 20.000 RSD<\/li><li><b>Women for Peace, Leskovac<\/b>&#8211; street action with leaflets and power point presentation about historically important women from Leskovac, amount: 26.500 RSD<\/li><li><b>Women for Peace on behalf of several organizations from South Serbia<\/b>&#8211; renting a bus for transport of 50 activists from South Serbia (Nis, Vlasotince, Leskovac, Dimitrovgrad, Pirot..) for peace marsh in Belgrade, amount: 58.600 RSD<\/li><li><b>Roma Children\u2019s Center, Belgrade<\/b>&#8211; workshop about importance of 8<sup>th<\/sup>of March and women\u2019s rights, and celebration in Roma settlment Suma in Cukaricka padina, amount: 5.800 RSD<\/li><li><b>LewHORe, Lesbian-feminist choir from Belgrade<\/b>&#8211; travel costs for going to famous feminist festival Rdece zore in Ljubljana honoring 8<sup>th<\/sup>of March, amount: 66.300 RSD<\/li><li><b>Human Rights Committee, Vranje<\/b>&#8211; SOS performance and street action, media conference, amount: 30.700 RSD<\/li><li><b>Fenomena, Kraljevo<\/b>&#8211; street action, distributing paper bags with symbol of 8<sup>th<\/sup>of March and stressing women working rights, which includes high school students from two organizations in Kraljevo, who promote anti-fascistic ideas, amount: 35.000 RSD<\/li><li><b>SOS Women\u2019s Center, Novi Sad<\/b>&#8211; street performance radio show live, distributing promo material with SOS number and words of encourage (pocket calendars, cleaning wipes for sun glasses), amount: 46,000 RSD<\/li><li><b>Young Roma, Bogojevo<\/b>&#8211; public presentation of documentary film \u201cOne working day of successful working Roma woman\u201d and following conversation for Roma from Odzaci municipality, amount: 20.000 RSD<\/li><li><b>Alternative Circle, Kragujevac<\/b>&#8211; exhibition of 9 women artists from Kragujevac, theme is 8<sup>th&nbsp;<\/sup>of March, and it lasts 15 days, and presentation of film about influence of transition on women\u2019s lives in Serbia, amount: 30.000 RSD<\/li><li><b>Women\u2019s Action of Pozega<\/b>&#8211; field trip to Sarajevo, amount: 20.500 RSD<\/li><li><b>Osvit, Nis<\/b>&#8211; public discussion in Nis\u2019 media centre about Roma women position in Nis with representatives from Nis\u2019 institutions, amount: 30.400 RSD<\/li><li><b>SOS, Vlasotince<\/b>&#8211; performance by young peer educators stressing women\u2019s working rights, having for example experiences of women working in textile factory \u201cVlasinka\u201d, amount: 73.000 RSD<\/li><li><b>Women\u2019s Center, Uzice<\/b>&#8211; exhibition of art made of recycled textile, as a result of project (gathering and recycling textile) in cooperation with Art school and Textile high school in Uzice, and public discussion about \u201c Uzice Women\u2019s Associations (podruzina) 1878-1941\u201d with the initiative for naming two streets in town after this women\u2019s groups from Uzice, amount: 25.400 RSD<\/li><li><b>Roma Women\u2019s Network of Banat, (Pancevo, Novi Becej, Zrenjanin)<\/b>&#8211; joint celebration of 8<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;of March and symbolic work meeting about future activities, amount: 50.000 RSD<\/li><li><b>Cultural Center REX, team of Free Zone<\/b>&#8211; Women\u2019s film marathon (3 films by 3 famous female authors) : \u201cDivorce in Iran way\u201d, \u201cMade in India\u201d, \u201cOrgasm inc.\u201d.
