In\u00a0Guanajuato, M\u00e9xico, in Tokio, Japan. In Lima, Per\u00fa\u2026 and now in Serbia.<\/p>\n<p>Reconstruction Women\u2019s Fund opened a program <a title=\"Roma Girls\u2019 Solidarity\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rwfund.org\/eng\/programs\/special-focus\/roma-girls-solidarity\/\"><strong>Roma Girls\u2019 Solidarity<\/strong> <\/a>as a longterm active learning\u00a0process creating a space where girls from South Serbia (Leskovac, Nis, Vlasotince, Pirot, Vranje and\u00a0Bujanovac) learn with and from each other, about the other and themselves, abut similarities as well as<br \/>\ndiferrences with their peers, with understanding that differences can connect people, and to envision\u00a0oportunities for change in their own lives through combating isolation. It is the \u201espace\u201c imagined for\u00a0sharing, exchange, creativity and fun.<\/p>\n<p>Within the program we are honored to host our guests from Colombia. Patricia Ariza, Catalina Garc\u00eda,\u00a0Carlos Satiz\u00e1bal will share their experience of work in their context and encourage thinking why\u00a0reflexive work on one\u2019s own body, voice, attitude is important in repressive and militant countries<br \/>\nwhere racism and discrimination are present.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patricia Ariza<\/strong>\u00a0is one the most important women in the contemporary theater in Latin America.\u00a0She\u00b4s director, actress, play writer, poet, and designer. She\u00b4s also co-founder of legendary Teatro\u00a0La Candelaria, 46 years ago. And she is the president of Corporaci\u00f3n Colombiana de Teatro. (<a title=\"http:\/\/www.teatrolacandelaria.org.co\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.teatrolacandelaria.org.co\/\">teatrolacandelaria.org.co<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Catalina Garc\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0is a video artist and video and cinema editor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carlos Satiz\u00e1bal\u00a0<\/strong>is a poet, musician, director and actor and associated professor of the Universidad\u00a0Nacional de Colombia. He founded with Patricia Ariza the theater group Rapsoda Teatro.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACT Women<\/strong>\u00a0is a women\u2019s\/feminist\/artistic group informally founded in the beginning of 2003 by\u00a0three women activists. Starting from the core idea of feminist theory that private is political, is public,\u00a0we decided to combine artistic and activist means (as fundamentally akin), and to merge our activis\u00a0experience with our theatre work in order to create unique public space in which activism takes on an<br \/>\nartistic expression. We find that this is an important way of reaching people\/public, and that it bridges\u00a0the gaps and overcomes obstacles that are sometimes present between informal sector i.e. women\u2019s\u00a0groups and general public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reconstruction Women\u2019s Fund<\/strong>\u00a0(<a title=\"www.rwfund.org\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rwfund.org\/\">www.rwfund.org<\/a>\u00a0) is the first local women\u2019s foundation in Serbia.\u00a0Through her programs, she supports activities focused on full realization of women\u2019s human rights,\u00a0academic exchange, pacifist\/antimilitaristic engagement, cooperation and solidarity.<\/p>\n<p>Organized in the cooperation with the Contemporary Fine Art Gallery in Nis and the Centre for Empirical\u00a0Studies of Southeastern Europe Culture.<\/p>\n<p>Reconstruction Women\u2019s Fund program Roma Girls\u2019 Solidarity is financially supported from the Balkan Trust for Democracy, a\u00a0project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.<br \/>\nPasarela is supported in part by a grant from the Open Society Foundations, Arts and Culture Program.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reconstruction Women\u2019s Fund invites you to the performance PASARELA!
