Women in Black, Belgrade

With this grant, RWF supports the activists of the Network of Women in Black for going to Srebrenica for marking the anniversary of the genocide, as well as for marking the anniversary with a peace performance in Belgrade. Support to facing the war past, and especially the responsibility for genocide in Srebrenica is still a key element of peace in the region.
Roma centre for women and children Daje
RSD: 150.000
With this grant, RWF supports the activists of Daje, an organization highly active in the field work, in ther efforts for curbing and prevention of further spread of contagious diseases in substandard settlements. Besides being a direct support to marginalized communities, these activities are also a pointer in the direction of additional empoverishment of Roma communities, additional marginalization through not receiving adequate healthcare, and handling situation is at the same time a basic condition for uninterrupted continuation of fieldwork by Daje in endangered areas on supporting women and children and developing emancipatory mechanisms.
