1. Festival of ecology theatre for children and youth – FET, Bačka Palanka 

RSD: 500.000

Activities title: Culture in small environments as a space of resistance – 32. FET 

The festival of ecology theatre for children and youth (FET) uses arts and creativity for over 30 years to get children and youth closer to themes of ecology, togetherness and social responsibility. FET gathers children and youth of Bačka Palanka, surrounding places and region, and actively engages them in conducting local, regional and international programs, enticing themm to participate, think and change the community ther are growing up in through arts. The festival affirms contemporary performing arts which refuses the idea of children and youth as passive audience, and using participatory and experimental forms, it opens space for dialogue, understanding differences, solidarity and presence of children asnd youth in social life. 

2. Befem, Belgrade

Activities title: Summer feminist gathering

Summer feminist gathering is a three-day space of feminist assembly, knowledge exchange and political connection of women from different parts of Serbia, especially from smaller local communities. The program is conducted by BeFem feminist cultural centre with feminist allies and local partners from LINK, Sombor. Activities include panel discussions, workshops, conversations and joint thinking at the Danube riverside and a farmstead. The gathering is accompanied by a campaign which uses short videos and digital content to spread feminist narratives and connect local voices with broader community. The goal is strengthening feminist community, mutual solidarity, and creating political agenda as a response to authoritarianism in all pores of the society, the growth of anti-gender and conservative movements. 

3. Biopolis, Belgrade/region

Activities title: Her own strength

We write about women and through writing we connect and empower each other. „Her own strength“ is a program dealing with empowering women through writing. Our group counts 20 womena and one man and we work on higher visibility of women in digital world in the Western Balkans. Our community and writing skills we aquired took care of us and our closest ones directly through financial independence and through networks of contacts and everything a community of women carries. We became published authors. The focus of the content remains the culture of resistance since 1990s until today and presenting the widest public with biographies of women who worked and are working in harmony with feminist politics of friendship, solidarity and resistance. 

4. Context Collective, Belgrade

Acitivities title: Where the future sprouts: collective practices of resistance, solidarity and building future 

We plan on having artistic and educational-dialogue activities dealing with exploitation of women‘s work and natural resources, as well as connections between the economy of growth, militarization and oppressing women and nature. Activities are envisioned for youth, women workers and artists in Leskovac and Novi Pazar, and they are conducted by Vida Knežević and Iskra Krstić from the Context Collective, in collaboration with artists Dejan Marković, Mira Odić and Vesna Vesić. Through workshops, artistic work, researh walks and public conversation, the aim is empowering women and local communities for solidarity organizing and feminist actions. We expect higher level of being informed, networking and motivation of participants for collective resistance to exploitation and social oppression. 

5. Opera Lab, Belgrade

Activities title: Pagliacci

Pagliacci is a feminist artivist intervention and opera agains culture of non-doing, which uses Leoncavallo‘s Pagliacci as a space for public confrontation with violence against women, but also with the way of continuous esthetizing and canonizing of women‘s suffering in classical opera. The activities are conducted by Opera Lab through stage and music adaptation, rehearsal with performers, shaping an immersive circus performance and discussion with the audience after the performance. The activities are envisioned for young and wide cultural audience. The expected results is a performative intervention questioning how violence against women, including femicide, has been normalized for centuries through opera and through position of audience watching and staying quiet. 

6. Collective Action A Roof Above Head, Belgrade

Activities title: Speak loudly and take a lawyer with you IX

Collective action A Roof Above Head expands is field of struggle against unfair evictions for years. Communal companies and rich creditors are violating the minimum of socially responsible law points to earn of the poor and discriminated people. But they don‘t expect those people to have the support of activists and lawyers. We keep on providing legal support to those who cannot pay for it from their own resources, to be liberated from unfairly blown up or non-existent debts, but also we keep on gaining needed knowledge for assisting people. 

7. Out of the Circle – Kragujevac

Activities title: Empowered and visible 

Activities are made for women with disabilities in Kragujevac and they encompass psychological, legal and media support (affirmative radio showws). The actions are conducted by expert collaborators of the association „Out of the Circle“ (psychologist, lawyer), and partner organization „Express“, a media partner. Councelling and radio shows, in which women speak about their own experiences, are contributing to empowering women for public actions, being more informed, changing stereotypical presentation of women with disabilities in public. The expected results include higher self-esteem of participants, lowered social isolation, increased visibility of their capacities and needs. 

8. Alternative Centre for Girls, Kruševac

Activities title: Tracing anti-fascism 

With a new group of girls, we wish more intense work on understanding anti-fascist and anti-militarist struggle, focusing on connecting with forms of fascism and anti-fascist struggle today. The places where young girls, high school girls and students, can gather and work on mutual empowerment and support, while they simoultaneously are learning and developing their potentials, are getting scarces. Alternative Centre for Girls is a place of anti-fascist struggle, culture of remembrance and learning. If we desire to work on a better future, we have to know our past and context which shows us that, in this space, the spirit of chetniks is more nurtured, and it needs to be deformed. In Kruševac and nearby there are several monuments to anti-fascism which are less spoken about today. We would organize tours to several important monuments, with lectures on their historical significance. The story wouldn‘t end there. Next, we would soon organize gatherings in our organization‘s space, educational acitvities and film analyses regarding the same subject. 

9. Sandglass NGO, Kruševac

Activities title: Together in solidarity for women‘s rights

The aim is a contribution to strengthening women‘s movement in Rasina district for responding to anti-democratic and anti-gender tendencies, through empowering women and women‘s collectives for political and social actions, public advocacy for changes and working on reducing gender stereotypes. We will organize exchange of views and experiences withing the Network of Women of Rasina District about the conditions of women‘s rights in the district. We will address local authorities with suggestions for improving the quality of women‘s lives. We will run a campaing for preventing gender-based disctimination, which will encompass workshops on women‘s rights and informing broader public on women‘s rights and gender equality. 

10. Mahala Editorial, Novi Pazar

Naziv aktivnosti: /

Mahala editorial plans on conducting media activities devoted to issues of digital violence against women and girls, with a special focus on abusing private photos, videos and messages, and consequences of such situations on their lives. Activities are envisioned primarily for women and girls from Sandžak, but also youth, parents and broaders community, which we want to get familiar with the consequences of digital violence, the importance of digital safety and responsibility of people who share private content without a permission. Through this work, Mahala wishes to collect experiences of women, analyze the existing practices of institutions, and together with experts create public recommendations for schools, police, centres for social work and judiciary institutions regarding approach in cases of digital violence, focusing on protecting victims and responsibilities of perpetrators. 

11. Centre Mome, Pirot

Activities title: Voices from the Women‘s Solidarity Club: Feminist peer education and digital empowerment of girls from rural and minority communities

We gather girls from rural, poor and minority communities of Pirot who will use education, video activism and peer support to co-create space for solidarity, visibility and social change. We organize a residential training on Zavojsko lake, where high school students and members of Roma Women from Villages, with the support of mentors, will learn about women‘s rights, ethics and esthetics of filming social media content, and after that, they will design and run workshops in high schools. The initiative is conducted by Centre Mome through Women‘s Solidarity Club, with professors and collaborators from the local community, aiming to empower new generations of women‘s voices, and make women‘s experiences visible in public space. 

12. Association Diva, Pirot

Activities title: Summer feminist school of young Roma girls

Feminist summer schools is designed for young Roma girls from Pirot, Bela Palanka and Babušnica who became interested in strengthening their capacities and active participation in community through previous workshops. The activities are conducted through three-day program of feminist learning, experience exchange and joint thinking and actions. The program is based on feminist and peace perspective and deals with questioning and opposing gender inequality, racism, discrimination and all forms of violence and exclusion. Through critical dialogue, joint work and experimental approach to activism, the participants develop knowledge and tools for transformational actions in their communities. The aim is trengthening feminist consciousness, solidarity and capacities of young Roma girls for activism and resistance to all forms of injustices. 

13. Women of Polimlje, Prijepolje

The continuation of our activities is focusing on Serbia and the events at the very beginning of the occupation. As our target group are high school pupils, we wish to introduce them to the deaths that took place in Kragujevac. Their presence at the historical class will expand their views and visions, and highlight the importance of innocent students and fighters who died. After that, we will visit Kadinjača and National Museum of Užice, our regional centre, and symbolically the beginning of struggle agains fascism. Through debate workshops regarding current issues, we will learn the results of our actions.

14. Eco-ethno associaton Guardians, Veliki Kupci

Activities title: Tradition as a space of freedom and resistance

The activities are conducted by Eco-ethno association Guardians with local collaborators. The initiative is designed for women from rural areas and broader public. The goal is empowering women for insights of their strength in traditional women‘s artisan activities, and that this field should be reappropriated from the patriarchy and that women‘s work should be protected from the economic and nationalist exploitation. Activities include field co-creation of the Manifesto, free legal support and digital guerilla campaign for women‘s cultural rebellion. Through engaging village coordinators, we build a stable feminist solidarity network in three villages. The expected results include: 30 cconnected authors, giving out 500 authors‘ stamps, legally protected intellectual property of women in rural areas and affirmation of their economic and cultural authonomy. 

15. Zrenjanin Social Forum and the Union of Migrant workers of Serbia, Zrenjanin

Activities title: /

The activities are jointly conducted by Zrenjanin Social Forum and the Union of Migrant Workers of Serbia, currently being formed, through educational and cultural program for migrant and local workers. The program emerged from direct work of workers from Egypt and other countries, with whom we managed, despire very limited or almost non-existent resources and with no systemic support, to build and activate the union of migrant workers. Through discussing feminism, anti-militarism, anti-nationalism, labor rights and union organizing, as well as through learning Serbian, English and basic Arabic, the aim is overcoming language and cultural barriers which employers oftentimes use for justifying exploitation- The program includes cultural mediation and introduction to legal frameworks of Serbia. Besides educational work, we daily face the urgent needs of workers for food, medications, medical care and accommodation, which shows that the issue of exploiting migrants‘ work requires long-term and continuous support. We expect strengthening mutual trust, easier communication in the field and further empowerment of collective organizing of migrant workers in Serbia.
