Name of the project: Institutional support
Project goal: NLO succeeded to create safe, specific and recognizable place, open to new members and available to lesbians through different occasions: sport activities, gatherings and associate with, workshops with lesbians from Vojvodina and Serbia, together with guests from region and abroad. It is a big contribution to social integration and exchange.This is a chance for NLO as the one of the most progressive and respective LGBT group to keep their office as a safe space for lesbians from whole Vojvodina, not to make a pause of few months in their work, cause it will be harder and more complicated to keep continuity and contacts with their members. As a newly registered group, but with long history of activism behind, considering very hard conditions for LGBT groups, they are facing with some kind of institutional crisis. They were expecting to get some assets from local donors to whom they were applied on time. Since they had the office rent paid until the end of 2005, in the moment when they found out that their project is rejected, on December 1 st , they applied to GFW and Mama Cash, but have to wait in next six months on the answer. The urgent grant will help them to exceed this crisis, to continue their activities during these few months and to save their space as the most appropriate one for these activities.
