- Project goal: Esperanca had their rent paid until October 2006. In the mean time they applied to other donors, from some they’ve got negative response and for some replies they are still waiting. It’s important for them to have the rent paid in next 4 months what will enable them to finish their successful project “My life by my choice” (including following sub-projects) and to keep their space as a place where they can gather and educate each other (Espreranca is a group of female students mostly). This is one of the rare NGOs that has been succeeding to organize, within classes of Civic Education in High schools, workshops with following issues: tolerance, non-violent communication, human rights, anti-discrimination, dealing with the past (with special aspect of women’s role in war and peace process), feminism-the truth and myths, reproductive rights, anti-trafficking. Thanks to their experiences and contacts, the activists of Esperanca succeeded to save 5 female teenagers of Novi Sad from the chain of trafficking.
