In 2021, we have supported the work of Self-educational university “Svetozar Marković” through a series of encounters devoted to women workers, activists and theoreticians working in the late 19th century and early 20th century, as well as the translations of their texts published in “Little self-educational reading book No. 6”. On this occasion, we are talking to Irena Ristić and Saša Perić about self-education, as well as about the significance of the translated authors today.

Throughout the previous month, the entire RWF team was devoted to a campaign called Locally womanly and on the other side of borders. After 17 years of continuous awarding of “Žarana Papić” stipends, we decided to upgrade this program by enabling the budget for the stipends through individual donations of the wider community, with a particular focus on the diaspora.

Vojkan Trifunović and Bojana Minović come from the Alternative cultural centre “Hero Maričić” from Kraljevo, from, as they say, “a little freedom oasis in a street named after national hero from nearby Žiča, Živan Maričić.” This space hosts gigs and social gatherings, as well as workshops, exchanges, benefit events, support to marginalized communities.
